Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026.

⚠️ Template — review with a professional before launch, especially if you collect any data from minors or expand beyond California.

Information we collect

Your name, your @ucdavis.edu email address, the bike details you submit (make, model, color, serial, optional photo), marketplace listings, and stolen-bike reports you file. If you subscribe, Stripe collects your payment details — we never see or store your full card number.

What is public vs. private

Public: stolen-bike reports (make, model, color, serial, general location, your description, optional reward) and marketplace listings. Never public: your email, phone number, password, or home address. Serial lookups return only a status (e.g., "flagged stolen") and never reveal an owner's identity.

How we use it

To operate the registry, match stolen bikes, power serial lookups, send you alerts you opt into, and process payments. We do not sell your personal data.

Security

Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) protected by Row Level Security so users can only access their own records. Passwords are hashed by the authentication provider. All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your bikes and listings at any time, and request full account deletion by emailing hello@aggiebikeguard.com. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and delete personal information.

Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies for login sessions. If we add analytics, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent.
